Locations and Casting

Sorry this has taken so bloody long to upload, but my computer crashed and I lost all the files for quite a while. But we recorded this back a while back, so here it is!

Good detail here guys - especially the processes that you went through. I like the fact that you have begun to relate the chosen actors (particularly Tom) to the potential target audience, although I would like to see more of this. You could also refer to similar artists work in comparison.

Again, I would like to see your videos exploring aspects of your planning and pre-production which are not viewable on the documents.

The previous 2 comments were regarding the casting work. What follows is about location...

You do well to evaluate your location options - especially linking the shot types available to existing products. However, you really need to be specific about influences and conventions (from the videos you have analysed) as well as the target audience, genre and representation.

The location video does well to mention conventions of acoustic music videos - but you could take this further with more reference to specific examples. I like that you mention the grass and ideas for colouring - that you visited the location in advance and 'conceptualised' the video.
